Name: Shock
Age: 8 Moons
Gender: Tom
Alliance: None, he is a loner
Rank: Loner
Outer Beauty:
///at first glance The first thing one would notice about Shock is that he is still a kitten. One may wonder how someone so small could manage to survive on their own, but this tom has certainly managed. His build is that of someone still growing; all of his body parts are mismatched or either oversized or undersized. His legs are long and spindly, looking way out of proportion to the rest of him. The length of Shock's actual frame is much shorter than one would picture with such small legs; after all he isn't fully grown yet. When this loner reaches about 12 moons of age, he hopes his body will begin to figure itself out and put everything where it needs to be. Until then, Shock will have abnormally large ears, freakishly long legs, and a tail that nearly reaches the sky.
///this will catch your eye The next thing one might notice about this tom is his pelt. He, to start, is a solid color, a brilliant ivory that makes every feature, both good and bad, stick out on him. Shock doesn't mind this at all, in fact he barely notices having never seen his actual reflection. It makes him appear boney and malnourished, which with twoleg standerds would be very true. Shock doesn't feel this way at all, though, and gets rather irritated when someone calls him skinny. Back on the topic of fur, to change the subject, this tom has no other shade but white. From head to tail he is covered in snow, the pink skin beneath barely noticeable under his thick coat.
///windows to the soul Eyes. You could very easily describe Shock's eyes as brilliant, or perhaps extravagant. They are what eyes are drawn to when someone looks at him. Their shape, first of all, is that of a kitten, still round and wide as if this tom is always afraid of something. Around the outer edge there is a thin ring of pink, making him look sick on occasion, especially since he has such a boney frame. As I move on to the actual color, I should say that Shock could have been born deaf. You guessed it, this tom's optics are blue. But not just a simple, plain shade of color. No, these orbs are the most unique many have seen. They start with a thin circle of gray on the edge, then move inward to an icy color. From then until the pupil, it continues to darken until it is a wondrous royal blue. Shock was named after his eyes.
///the finer details As we move on, you begin to notice the finer details of this loner's body. If you really want to get into detail, I suppose we should start with his claws. They are sharp, like most, and quite hooked on the ends considering they haven't been clipped by a two-leg in moons. Shock has pink pads, which are soft from the soft ground of his old two-leg's nest and would never be hard enough to walk the rocks. His nose is pink as well, a small triangle and quite dainty looking considering his age. Last, but not least, Shock of course has white teeth and a pale pink tongue.
Inner Beauty:
///quiet The first and most obvious trait Shock has is his introverted personality. He doesn't talk much, but if he meets someone who is willing to carry on a decent conversation he will pull his weight. It has to be the right cat, though, someone who will fill in the missing pieces. Shock would rather listen than speak, and many think he is stuck up because of this. Really he is just thinking about what is being said and how it effects his every day life. Someone who will give him a chance to actually speak, however, will be surprised by how outgoing he can be around someone he knows. Shock isn't anti-social or awkward, he is simply quiet.
///gentlemanly Shock pulls off the knight in shining armor act perfectly. He is kind and charming around she-cats, and is always willing to be the 'nice guy' that defends them when others are not so sweet. If this loner was a human, he would be holding open doors, bringing flowers, and kissing lightly on the cheek. In the feline world, though, Shock is a ladies first kinda guy. He will talk to them about the simplest thing for hours, and can often be considered a 'softy' to other toms. To she-cats, though, sensitivity is sought after. Shock knows that females are not helpless, but is fairly protective when dangers come around. If someone so much as insults them he is the one with the bristling fur waiting for someone else to attack them and standing in front of the girl.
///independent Being a loner, Shock has never thought the whole clan idea was right for him. Independence is really the only way to survive, he believes, and this tom has never wanted to rely on someone to catch food for him. Having a leader really doesn't appeal either, because Shock enjoys coming and going as he pleases without having to tell everyone where he is. No, this loner isn't suited for clan life at all. Don't get me wrong, he would be happy to have a family, but he would never want to live with cats constantly around him, never having any time to himself. The farm is nice, because those that live there tend to leave each other be, and will still be willing to hunt for someone if they are injured. Once you get too old, though, you have to rely on family members for that.
///open minded Shock would never judge anyone without actually knowing who they are. He isn't the kinda tom that will just look at a cat and automatically assume they are unkind or strange, he will actual take the time to get to know them before he files them into a category. Even if the fattest, most well groomed kittypet came up to him, he would at least try to start a decent conversation. Shock doesn't know how the world came about, he doesn't believe in StarClan, but is willing to listen to anyone's opinions. This loner is happy with not knowing, though, and would be considered Agnostic in human world. He believes that no one thing could create an entire existence of life, but again is open for discussion on the topic. Not that he is much of a debater himself...
Past: Duke and Dutchess were two kittypets who lived at a pet store in a small two-leg town. They were both purchased by the store for breeding purposes, and were used to make kittens for humans to buy and take home. Dutchess gave birth to seven, considering the care from the pet store, but four were immediately taken away and sold to humans. The three left she named Flash, Shock, and Lio. Lio was white with pale blue eyes, born deaf to the two-leg shop owner's dismay. Flash was black with a few white splotches, named Socks by the two-legs although Dutchess refused to accept the name. Shock was considered to be deaf by the two-legs, when he really could hear perfectly fine. Lio was taken by the pet store owners before his eyes were open and never seen again, the cats were oblivious to what happened to him. Flash was adopted soon after, leaving Shock alone with Duke and Dutchess.
The two-legs were terribly cruel to the cats. They could barely remember to fill the food and water dishes, leaving the three cats alone with nothing to eat or drink. Inside small cages, they didn't have any social interaction with each other either. Shock was not raised at all, only locked inside a kennel until his third moon, when someone finally decided to take him home. The tom cannot recall exactly what happened that day, but when a two-leg couple and their kits came to the store, one of the workers simply picked Shock up out of the cage and put him into the big tom's arms. After that he remembers going inside the belly of a monster, everything else was too much a blur to recall exactly.
Shock quickly found he wasn't too found of the kittypet life. They would dangle a feather-like object in front of him and expect him to bat at it, then the youngest of the kits would practically squash him with his pudgy arms. Shock hated living with them, but had to deal with all of this from the moment he woke up until he went to bed at night. Everything was so overwhelming to him, and it was frustrating for the two-legs to always be in control of what he did. They would rarely let him go outside, and Shock couldn't even hunt because of a pesky chain link fence that surrounded their garden and kept all the prey out. One day, he had enough. When the two-legs let him out that night, he hopped the fence and never returned.
Shock didn't have any clue how he was going to survive. He didn't know how to hunt, although he had instincts, and wasn't aware there were even cats outside of the kittypet gardens. Eventually the tom stumbled upon the farm near the clan territories, and met a tom who became like a father to him. His name was Clockwork, and he took Shock under his wing, teaching him basic fighting and hunting techniques in order to survive. Because he was so isolated from other cats, Clockwork basically raised the kit, a combination of a father and a mentor if you want to think of it in that way. They still live together, and Shock is still being raised by his adoptive father.
Kin: Duke --- Father Dutchess --- Mother Lio --- Put down by humans for being deaf Flash --- Adopted, Shock isn't aware of his location Dollie --- Sister Adopted at birth, Shock never met her Rambo --- Brother Adopted, Shock never met him Baron --- Brother Adopted, Shock never met him Blintz --- Brother Adopted, Shock never met him
