Name: Peacekit/paw/fall
Age: 36 moons
Gender: She-cat
Alliance: FleetClan
Rank: Warrior
Outer Beauty:
Peacefall is the picture of beauty. Her coat itself is more complex than you could imagine, layer upon layer swirling about. She appears to be a calico american shorthair, if there is such a thing. She wouldn't know much about breeds though, so it doesn't matter anyway. Her markings are marbled and cover all of her back. They only fade into white at the side of her neck, a little under her muzzle, then down to cover the rest of her underbelly. She also has white socks on every one of her feet. Peacefall has quite a few different colors. They are black, gray of many shades, ginger, and even a little brown. She's like a mixture of any cat you have ever seen.
Peacefall looks as though a silver tabby clashed with a ginger one when it comes to her fur. Stripes of dark ginger and black run through splotches of ginger and silver. Her front feet however always have slashes of dark ginger over the white socks where the back ones are silver in much the same pattern. Her tail is that of a silver tabby though, thick black stripes run in a bengal pattern with much lighter silver. Some even hace splotches of brown in the center. Her pink nose is spotted with ginger around it and an even lighter spot under the right side of her muzzle. Peacefall's signature markings, besides the marbled calico, are the two black dots that she has on either leg right over both the legs.
Peacefall's coat is thicker than most cats of the rolling moors. In fact she often gets way too hot when in pursuit of a rabbit. She seemingly was born to be some kind of snow cat. She loves the snow, cold weather, and running really fast otherwise she would never feel the wind in her fur. On the other hand she absolutely hates warm weather, which tends to be most days on the moor where the sun beats down on them constantly. She also hates swimming, leave that to RushClan. Even rain only clumps up her fur and makes her feel odd for hours after the rain has gone. She doesn't have to worry that much about rain though, it tends to be more hot. No trees on the plains either..
Oddly enough Peacefall's build isn't that of your wiry, spindly-legged FleetClanner. Her legs are short and with that thick medium length fur of her's she appears to be well fed and puffy half the time. Reflecting this she isn't close to the fastest runner of FleetClan, but at the same time she would rather not fight and isn't the strongest cat in the world. However her nose is a thing of utter brilliance. She is easily the best tracker in all of FleetClan. She is the cat to go to if you need to find out where all the rabbits are that given day. The wind is her friend and with nothing to block her excellent sniffer she often can scent a patrol of invading cats and even the coming of storm. In which case she attempts to find a rock to dig a hole under and hide. Rain obviously not being her friend.
Peacefall's eyes aren't really anything special. Just that murky green color with two layers. dark and light. The light being a gold color and the dark more green giving the light a green appearance. The dark darkens into a darker green and then reaches the blacknesss of the pupil. Her eyesight is good, but definitely not as good as her nose.
Inner Beauty:
Everyone has always viewed Peacefall as one of those cats that kept the peace. She has never to their recollections jumped into a fight or been as defensive as FleetClanners were usually seen as. In fact this has happened enough that some cats actually doubt her loyalty. She has also always appeared to be calm and collected. Nothing seems to get to her.. except maybe when she is told to lead a patrol. That greatly confuses those around her. Why would a fine warrior such as herself feel incapable to lead a simple hunting patrol. Half the time you barely do more than tell cats which direction to start hunting and meeting places. Especially with her sense of smell as intense as it is. She is a primary member to any hunting patrol.
I must say that I have never been asked to describe what I'm like.. That is one hard question to tell you the tr uth. I imagine that I am one of the more loyal cats of FleetClan. Though I often get the feeling that my fellow Clanmates may not have the best impression of my loyalty. I would die for my Clan, don't get me wrong with this next part, but I'd rather see harmony and peace than my friends getting torn to shreds 'defending' their Clan. Obviously I don't have the best view on fighting, but what has tooth and claw ever solved that diplomacy hasn't? Not to mention no one dies from diplomacy.. I guess I'm probably never going to see the day when we all just swallow our pride. I sometimes wonder why I even try. It isn't like I'll ever be able to solve problems, I can barely decide whether I should do the simplest of things. I hate being in charge and no one will ever learn to listen to me. Obviously I can be a little pessimistic inside. I try not to appear that way to my lanmates though. Wouldn't my doubt in myself be enough to end any of my random outburts of peace as cowardice?
Peacefall has never been a fan of making decisions. you could call her indecisive even before what happened. Now though she absolutely fears the thought of making them. What if she chooses wrong? What if another cat that she loved or any of her Clanmates got injured because of it? She has never been forgiving..to herself and she is often haunted by things gone wrong because of what she did. She tends to blame herself for accidents, especially if she had something to do with the decision. She hates being in positions of leadership because of this. Sometimes her fear of decisions gets so bad that she becomes shaky and anxious just from choosing whether to take the mouse or the rabbit. So she often undersells herself and goes with the decision that would have more of a chance of hurting herself or she just avoids making the decision at all.
So by the name hopefully you have already narrowed this trait down to two possible options. Either Peacefall is the kind of cat that does everything possible to cause havoc or the more intelligent choice of her being peacefull. The second answer would be correct. Peace to her is a neccesity and without it all hell would break loose and the Clan she loved for all her life would be lost. Diplomat to the end she'd rather solve things with words and compromise than tooth or claw, even vulgar insults aren't a tactic she would use. She has often been seen as the sane one when her Clan is spoken harshly of at a Gathering. Before the accident and the rise of her fear she would never hesitate to speak out when things got tense. In fact she was admired for it.
Peacefall over the course of her life has become more and more self-doubting, resigned if you will. No longer does she seem to have the same confidence and strong-will that she did before. She has slowly become pessimistic, too. Her courage has seemingly dissolved to those around her. When in truth she has just began to tell herself what she has deemed as the truth. Everything falls, be it to death, idiocy, or some other crazy thing. Even the peace she has always wished for has never lasted. These Clans live for nothing more than constant unrest and battle. No one is safe from it and she is no longer naive enough to think her puny word will change it. She is self-defeating and occasionally she will actually appear to be doubtful to those around her. Let them through her hardened appearance of certainty to see how confused she really is anymore.
Past:
Peacekit was born into the average FleetClanner existance. Her parents Harehop and Runaway were the usual lovey-dovey, rip your face off if you insult my mate pair. They were one of the most defensive couples in all of FleetClan at the time. They took crap from no one, especially cats from other Clans. They were the kind of cats that would live by the motto 'Attack first, ask questions later'. So in that way they were extremely loved by their Clan an became very successful. Soon kits would come into the picture and they would teach them how to be the best they can be in order to serve FleetClan.
Harehop was huge and everyone expected a large litter. Which would be a gift from StarClan since most litters of FleetClan were small. So it was a disappointment when they gave birth to two kits. One tom and one she-cat. The she-kit was an utter disappointment. She had a thick coat, that even for a kit was way too big. Her legs already appeared stubby and she was one of the most mellow kits that FleetClan had ever seen. That didn't seem to be a good sign. They named her Peacekit anyways, since she was quite peaceful and a pleasure to be around. Perhaps she could be a medicine cat or something, they rested more hope on her brother to be a fine warrior.
Now he was a cat to be proud of, a classic brown cat with a wiry appearance even at birth. His legs were long and spindly, he would be tall in no time. He never stopped mewling and he seemed to be determined even before they could see the fire that burned in his emerald eyes. Before they knew it their little Charmkit was walking a good week before his little sister and was soon running faster than any of the other FleetClan kits. Peacekit falling short at this. Whatever a kit was supposed to do as a FleetClanner Charmkit excelled at. Where Peacekit proved to be his opposite. When in truth she was just average at most things, no one could see past the fact she didn't meet the standards that they employed for litters with kits of pure genius.
So life continued Peacekit trying hard to gain some attention for some skill. She wasn't near as bad as everyone thought of her. She slowly became afraid of failure and she worked as hard as she could to avoid it. One day she would cure herself of this shadow that she had hanging over her head. It would be a few moons later in apprenticeship. She would though lose the shadow and gain her own identity. It is also then that she will realize how much attention one gets like that and become slightly afraid of making decisions that could harm her image. It wouldn't be until much later that this would grow into a phobia.
So Peacekit and Charmkit became apprentices. However Peacepaw recieved a new warrior by the name of Twistedfoot where her brother recieved the deputy, Talonscar. Twistedfoot's name soon became clear to Peacepaw when she realized that his foot was bent in an odd manner, enough that he would never run at his full capabilities. It angered her for a while, but she could never bring herself to get as angry and defensive as her parents or brother.
He still seemed to fit along with her, they could match paces rather well, but for once Peacepaw could beat someone in a race. Which was a big part of the kind tom's training. Though whenever she had to race another apprentice she often lost, not every time anymore though. Her skills were growing, she could hunt rabbit fine and her battle skills were fine. It was only until her eighth moon that she totally broke free of her brother's shadow. That was when one windless day EternalClan decided to launch an attack. From the complete opposite side of the border on a hunting patrol with Twistedfoot she scented EternalClan too heavy in the air for comfort. Usually she couldn't smell them from this far away. She knew something had to be wrong.
So changing course while in pursuit of a rabbit she raced back to camp. Yowling invasion with all her might she raced back out of the camp and followed by a few much faster senior warriors she proceeded to lead an ambush on their forces. The story was such an amazing one someone thought that they had heard another wrong when they said Peacepaw, not Charmpaw had warned them. No matter she was greatly honored at the fight and finally gained recognition for the scenting ability of ten times the usual. From then on her battle training seemed to be finished and Twistedfoot had her sending patrols where the rabbit scent was greatest. Charmpaw was happy for his sister, mind a bit jealous. He still managed to become Charmspirit before her.
Peacepaw became Peacefall, proud of herself and finally she seemed to have reached her peak of her will and hope for peace. She spoke out willingly and openly, with a way with words that made her look loyal yet got her point across. She was shaping up to be just as good of a warrior as her brother in her own way. Being a warrior wasn't all fighting and hunting. She soon became a prominent figure in all the Clans. Soon all her words seemed to rub off on one male in particular. Robinwing of her own Clan, he was much older than her, but for once in his life he was struck with a love he had never felt for a she-cat ever before. So he started to pursue her. He was a perseverant fellow and he always seemed to charm his way into every patrol she went on and he never seemed to be far away from her. Soon he even managed to nest beside her. He had his mind set on her and nothing she said or did could phase him.
Soon she found that despite all of her coldness to his desires she soon found that deeper emotions were surpressed under it all. Robinwing had found himself a mate and Peacefall was 'stuck with him' as she affectionately said. Soon their smiles and happiness had filled the camp with love for the couple. One sunrise she was told by the medicine cat that she was expecting. So all smiles she asked the still living Talonscar to lead a huinting patrol. Along with her brother, mate, herself, and two apprentices she took off into the moorland. Little did she know this would be the last time that she would ever want to lead a patrol, let alone ask to. The had four rabbits down before sunrise even came. Together yet in seperate little groups they paused for a rest by order of Peacefall. It was then that she broke the news to Robinwing. He was ecstatic and nearly yowled everyone's ear off with calling it out. It was then that Peacefall's smile was wiped away.
She told them all to be quiet and spoke of EternalClan cats yet again making there way to camp for invasion. She was asked the question that would forever haunt her. "Should we go back and get back up or should we stay and fight these no good mousebrains?" Glancing to Robinwing she caught an apprentice and told her to run as fast as she could back to camp for help. Robinwing opened his mouth to protect her not going back in her condition. Peacefall would never have made it back faster than that apprentice. So swiping her tail over Robinwing's muzzle she led the now battle patrol into a full-blown invasion.
They were outnumbered and side-by-side for a few moments Robinwing became seperated from Peacefall. She was jumped from behind as she turned to follow him. Her last sight was of a cat getting ready to do the same thing to him as had happened to her. Except her outcome ended up better. She got knocked out and her belly got scratched enough that her kits wouldn't make it. That was bad enough when she woke in the medicine cat's den. After a while of the looks of odd sympathy and pity she asked the medicine cat what everyone was.... Wait, she was out in the clearing now heading towards the warriors den to tell Robinwing the bad news when she saw a cat set in the middle of the clearing for a vigil. Walking closer she stopped halfway there. She knew who that was and she knew why he had died. She had made the decision for a fight. She had killed her mate and his kits, so laying beside him. She didn't move or speak until long after his body was taken away to be buried.
After that she was never the same, she didn't speak out for peace. She didn't like choosing much, in fact she seemed to panic when given choices. Peacefall was quieter than she had ever been and deep inside she began to tear at herself. Nightmares came soon after, but have slowly became less frequent. Peacefall accepted her view on life and replaced her optimism and hope for pessimism and doom-filled thoughts. She would never be the same. Peacefall was sure of only that. Everything else was indecision and unclear. She was gone and everyone knew it.
