Name:
Stonekit//Chasmkit//Chasmpaw//Chasm_____?
Age:
Six Moons
Gender:
Tom
Alliance:
MysteryClan, formerly RushClan
Rank:
Apprentice
Outer Beauty:
Chasmpaw certainly has a beauty about him, though it may be slightly off from his birth Clan's fur traits. He is a white and brown tabby mix. It does fit though, seeing as along his back little flecks of a light gray break through in what should have been his pelt. He has two rather large tabby markings blanketing his soft white. One covers most of his head like the helmet of a warrior. He has the classic tabby 'M' that we all know too well. His face mask breaks at the bridge of his muzzle, creating a sharp blaze that continues down to the rest of his muzzle and neck area. Then white covers most of the rest of his upper half, except for a little patch of tabby on the inside of his right leg. His left leg is all white though, as are the other two legs. Blanketed atop his lower half is his main tabby marking that sinks to almost touching his underbelly. It doesn't make it, but it does get all of his tail.
Chasmpaw has long white whiskers and a cute pink nose, matched only by his soft pink pads. It actually kind of fits his almost feminine looking build and charm. However any that chose to cross him would find him agile, flexible, and built to wiggle out of every situation. He has long legs, unlike his brother whom owns more of a stocky build. Chasmpaw is tall, but not as wiry as a FleetClan cat. No he holds an unusual strength in all of his legs that almost match the workings of his mind. He will find skill in hunting in the tough marshland and just the right touch of fighting skill to be what MysteryClan ordered. He is unique to his new Clan, a good fighter with skills that aren't all brawn. he has brains and speed, coordination beyond belief, and a need to succeed.
Now we find ourselves at Chasmpaw's most beloved feature. His unique eyes, something that no one has ever seen before. Also what he is named for, and it is no wonder with their awe inspiring beauty. He was named for them as Stonekit for they are the color of stone. Then again as Chasmkit he was named for the very depths of the abyss that are his eyes. His eyes are a dark gray at the top, but if you look closely they light in certain splotches at the bottom. They have a pattern like marble and it would be hard to explain the gripping feeling that cats get from look into them. He can be as intense in his feelings with them as he please. At the same time if he ever wishes he could close off every little feeling from leaking out of his pitless gaze. though usually they shine with a determination and maybe even the slightest bit of confusion. For deep down inside he feels as lost as cats can get in his wonderful gaze.
Now we come to Chasmpaw's scars. What, a cat as young as him has scars? Yes, many and not all visible on the outside. His scars cut deeper than skin, he has the kind that hurt the mind as well. For now we won't go into detail with that, we will stick with what is asked of us about 'Outer Beauty' though his scars are much more grotesque than that. He has deep tooth marks cutting across certain places where the fox of his nightmares grabbed a hold. A few of them create longer gashes where the fox had been running and Chasmpaw had slipped. The fox would simply open his mouth and though him a bit to get a hold at a new location. He also has an incurable limp in his front left leg where the fox had originally grabbed a hold. He also has quite a few other random nicks and scratches, gashes and scars from the many things he was hit against on his horrific journey to MysteryClan.
Inner Beauty:
Chasmpaw is first and foremost a brain. He likes to solve problems and is often the cat the other apprentices go to with questions. No one wants to go to a warrior with questions anyway, wouldn't they look down on you more? Especially since they all had their personal brain in Chasmpaw. Both he and his brother share this trait with one another, an overdeveloped mind ever since they were kits. This is what landed him in MysteryClan in the first place. Chasmpaw is a strategist and he is always silently sizing others up. Even if they are his Clanmates he has never felt completely comfortable with his back turned to any of them. He never jumps into anything without thinking and has only made one rash decision in his life, maybe it is that silent nagging in the back of his head not to get in trouble like that again that helped let this trait show through. Smarts were always in his blood and most of his kin have and will show this trait at one time or another.
Next, Chasmpaw is modest and tends to stay silent. He doesn't really like being in the spotlight and he is often more of the behind the scenes kind of cat. However he has no luck with achieving this for quite a few reasons. First off he is a prime prospect for MysteryClan and the cats of MysteryClan are already waiting eagerly to watch him succeed. He also causes the awe of the other apprentices because of his battle scars and he will never hear the end of cats trying to find out how he had gotten them. Then his odd gaze always seems to catch him some unwanted attention, not to mention there is just something that pulls cats in to trying to get him to talk. It annoys him to no end and occasionally he will snap at a curious apprentice or kit, he doesn't want to be mean but why can't they all just leave him alone?
Chasmpaw doesn't know who he is.. Well he does, he knows he is Chasmpaw of MysteryClan. However it always feels like something is missing and just not right in the world with him here. He loves his marshy home, but it sort of makes him feel like his fur is getting pet the wrong way. Sometimes he forgets what he was doing, or finds himself not able to recall what someone said a moment before. This will probably get him in trouble a few times, but hopefully his mentor will understand that it isn't his fault. He also feels like he is missing most of his kithood, he only remembers a moon or so before he was made an apprentice. He knows his mother is Flowersoul, but he is never calmed by her prescence as he should be. Sometimes he can't help but feel like a duck out of water. Maybe he just has a fear of belonging.. Why would he though?
This apprentice just like any other has the want to succeed and be the best. For Chasmpaw it goes beyond natural, an obsession really. He feels that maybe if he becomes the best he can gain back his feeling of belonging. He knows that he once had that feeling, but now only fear takes its place. If he can be the best than everything will go back to how he knew it once was. Then he can be loved, then he could allow himself to belong, feel love, and be liked. Until then this will all continue. Maybe that would change if he knew the reason behind his unusual fear and why he can't figure out who he is. that is his dream and aspiratin in this world. If he fails depression is inevitable. Then all hope for him shall be lost.
Chasmpaw is also odd in his take on loyalty. He doesn't fully understand it, maybe it's because he isn't aware he was born in RushClan. He is loyal to the cats of MysteryClan he sees fit to be, but he doesn't feel the particular defensiveness that should arise when someone insults his Clan. He is too honest and intelligent to doubt that his Clan can have a flaw. It is uncertain whether this would still be a trait of his if he was still in RushClan. Either way he is completely open to having loyalties in other Clans, though with his lack of trust and being unable to love it if very unlikely. He can't even seem to give his complete trust to those in the same den as him.
Past:
A litter of three was born into the world exactly six moons ago. Their parents were Slotheye and Rainpelt, two loyal warriors of RushClan. The first and eldest of the litter was a small tom with stunning gray eyes. The tom was named Stonekit because of this. The next kit born was another male, with a pelt that matched neither pelts of his father or mother. He was named Raptorkit. The last was stillborn, but was named Whisperkit, after her white gray pelt, for her time in StarClan. The parents were very proud of their litter, and raised them well. Their father wasn't around much, but tried to visit the Nursery every once and a while. Prey was becoming scacer, it being Leaf-fall, and Slotheye had much to do as a warrior. Stonekit was just a normal kit than. It was around their third moon the brothers began to get into mischief.
One day, Raptorkit was feeling much older than he was. Not unlike him, but that meant Stonekit had to follow him around to make sure he didn't get himself into trouble. Him obviously being more of the mature one of the two. So his brother decided it would be smart to sneak out of camp, Stonekit went along with it for curiousity's sake. The plan was hatched, and both of their overdeveloped minds began to plot. By the time they were ready to do things, there was a hole in the back of the Nursery that lead straight out of camp. It was early morning, the best time, they decided. They would be back before Rainpelt woke up. This, obviously, did not go as planned. The brother's were found by the Dawn Patrol, and were being carried back to camp when the foxes attacked.
There were only two of them, yes, but two foxes could still deal out a decent amount of wounds to a patrol of only four cats. An apprentice by the name of Goldenpaw stood in front of the two kits, trying to protect them. He did not, however, notice the third fox coming up from behind. The patrol was outnumbered by strength, and there were not enough cats to protect the kits, who refused to run away when told. One of the foxes got past Goldenpaw, grabbing Stonekit in his jaws and shaking ferociously. He would later devolop brain damage because of this. The fox then ran off, carrying Stonekit in his jaws. Stonekit was proclaimed dead the next day, leaving a devastated mother, father, and brother. It wasn't Raptorkit's fault, it was a natural for him to feel guilty and scared, still having been young at the time.
Little did RushClan know that Stonekit was in fact alive, but barely. The fox got bored with him, dropping his unconscious body near the MysteryClan boarder. It was a miracle alone that he hadn't been eaten or killed by the ferocious shaking. Must have been a vegetarian. The cats from the marshes took the kit, thinking it was just another way to strengthen their Clan. Stonekit was renamed Chasmkit, after the "depth" his eyes showed when they were first opened when he came to. The tom does not remember the fox at all, having lost memory from his injuries. Now Chasmpaw, MysteryClan has never told him where he was found, and he thinks his mother is Flowersoul, the cat who offered to take him in for a short amount of time before becoming apprenticed. Raptorpaw of course has accepted that Stonekit is dead, and assumes he will never be seen again. Now Chasmpaw has found a mentor in Snowdust, but he isn't quite sure what to think of her yet.
