 Welcome to New York City. We all see it plainly said on tee shirts everyone wears those famous words of “I love NY". But what most wouldn't even imagine ever happening in their beloved NY does. Violence, sex, drugs, parties -- everything, happens in the city whether you know it or not. Most wouldn't. What some would see in movies or what happens on their nine o'clock television shows actually happens out on the streets of NY. Sure people in New York witness crime mostly every day. A person stealing another's purse so they can by their weeks supply of heroine, or the average bank robbery. But what most wouldn't notice is that all of this is only petty crime. The major crime that happens goes on at night, when every civilian is asleep comfortably in their rooms....
There are five well respected families that live in New York City. All would seem like they are normal, well that could be assumed by a first glance. They all have normal family problems, but then they have an additional amount of problems stacked upon that. Each member is part of an organization that almost everyone on this planet has heard of, The Mafia. Although each family is a different one. You have your average Italians, Sicilians, Russians, Ukrainians, and Americans. Each family is fighting to keep their territory and gain some of another's. Crafty sons are plotting against their fathers so that they can become the Don fo their families. It all just seems like a nightmarish story that you wouldn't dare tell your children at night; but in reality, they already know about it.
People end up missing everyday in New York. Some blame the families for this, but they don't realize that mostly all the authority in the city all work for one family or another. It's just the way things are, no one can help it. So people go about trying to live their lives as normally as they can. Some try not to even think about that person being shot in front of their eyes in an alley way. Most civilians try not to even know any of the members of the families because knowing one would bring bad luck to their doorstep, and bad luck in NY usually means death.
Being in the Mafia is a dirty business that most wouldn't even think about. There's dealing and killing, then you have your usual supply of revenge and torture. Sure it all seems bad but to the members it's just your average daily job. It a daily battle of survival that in the end everyone must face. The war between the families is gruesome and violent, but it has to be in order for one family to reach the top, for their Don to become The Don of New York. Trouble is, that family just has to kill off the other four families. With all said......
